Thoughts
Sometimes I think and question a lot. Why do I do this or that? Why did I act exactly like that, choose exactly those words or not do something?
And actually, this thinking is often too much. It doesn't help me. I can't change what happened in hindsight...
Then I 'waste' even more time by 'unnecessarily' thinking. Actually, it's a shame...
Winter
I like winter.
Outside there is snow and you can get cozy.
You can sit at home, drink tea, snuggle up in a blanket and watch a movie.
You can take a walk with a scarf, hat, gloves and winter coat.
I love baking cookies, drinking cocoa and watching Christmas movies.
A day at the sea
I love the sea.
Growing up in Cuxhaven, right on the North Sea, you certainly can't blame me for that.
Today I visited my 'old' home. Great!
I had a picnic on the beach, went wading in the mudflats and let the wonderful nature have its effect on me.
That really has therapeutic effects.
The empty beach with the soothing sound of the waves, the seagulls, the wind, etc. - simply relaxing. It's a place to find peace...
Work
Most of the time I love my job. Really...
But sometimes I could scream at the little children - which I of course don't.
But sometimes I would just like to give up or just go along with it - which would of course be totally immature and unreasonable.
But sometimes I just can't think of what to answer the parents' cheeky comment - luckily there are also really nice and helpful parents.
But sometimes I just lack the brilliant idea - and I still have to carry on confidently.
But sometimes I just don't want to say the same thing for the hundredth time - even though children somehow forget it every week. Why only??
But actually you get so much back. The children's laughter. The shining eyes. The little hugs and cuddle sessions. And so much more.
So I mostly like my job. Because the positive outweighs it.
dentist
Do you like going to the dentist?
I do. I've known my dentist for years. He's very kind and we chat and also talk a little privately on the side.
It probably also has to do with the fact that I've never had any problems or anything. So he always just checks, we chat briefly, and that's it.
Anyway, I had another check-up appointment today. Totally relaxed, almost no waiting time and no problems again. So all good.
I wish everyone could have such positive experiences at the dentist. You always hear horror stories. That's why I also want to point out something so nice.
Accident
I actually had a bit of an 'accident' the other day.
I just slipped and fell with my bike. I had to go to the emergency room and could barely walk. Luckily, the knee was just bruised and completely swollen. So everything heals up again. And the bike needs to go to the workshop too.
Annoying...
Art exhibition
Today is a holiday (for me). I know that it is not a holiday in the south today.
I'm using the free day to visit an art exhibition. A good friend of mine is also exhibiting some works there. So it's almost a MUST that I go. But even otherwise, the topic sounds very interesting and I'm really looking forward to it.
