Part 1 – A secret begins...
It was just before midnight when I discovered the mysterious letter on my bed.
A black envelope. My name in golden writing. No sender.
Curious, I opened it.
"Tonight, at twelve o'clock sharp. Suite 307. Wear something that no one will forget anytime soon."
I couldn't help but smile.
Who was playing this mysterious game with me?
In front of the large mirror, I took one last look at myself. My black dress fit elegantly around my silhouette. A hint of perfume on my neck, my favorite earrings, and a confident smile.
I didn't know what to expect.
But I loved surprises.
As the hotel door closed behind me, my heart beat a little faster.
The long corridor was empty. Only the dim light of the chandeliers reflected off the shiny floor.
Suite 305...
Suite 306...
Suite 307.
I raised my hand to knock.
But before my f****rs touched the wood, the door opened.
A handsome stranger stood in front of me. Dark shirt, a mysterious smile, and eyes that looked at me for a moment longer than I had expected.
"So you're really here," he said with a deep, calm voice.
I tilted my head slightly to the side.
"Depends on who invited me."
He smiled.
"Someone who has been waiting a long time to get to know you."
I crossed my arms and returned his gaze.
"And what makes you so sure I'll stay?"
He took a step back.
"Nothing at all. You decide that all by yourself."
Behind him, I saw a beautifully decorated suite. Candlelight, red roses, and a large window with a view over the sparkling city.
On a small table, two glasses stood.
And next to them...
A second black envelope.
With my name.
But this time, there was a sentence underneath that took my breath away for a moment:
"You know me already. You just don't remember me yet."
I looked at the stranger in surprise.
He wasn't smiling anymore.
"Before you open the letter," he whispered, "I have to tell you something."
